Welcome To Langbrook Meadows!

A little about our history...

"A Stroke Back In Time"

When people say they are going to take up golf in their retirement, it does not usually involve building an 18-hole golf course. John (Butch) Langtry had a very different idea of retirement. In the Spring of 2002 he decided to convert 175 acres of Langbrook Farms into a golf course and "country club".

The golf course and driving range first opened in the Spring of 2003. The country theme is central to the design. The course is decorated with antique farm equipment, which shows Butch's pride in farming history. The course's slogan "A Stroke Back In Time" is a tribute to a simpler life and nostalgia for farming of yesteryear.

In the Fall of 2005, the back nine holes were added making Langbrook Meadow a Par 71, 5766 yard, 18-hole golf course. The back nine feature three challenging dog legs, ponds, and breathtaking scenery. With the rich, sandy loam soil, the course has excellent drainage and is often on the earliest opening courses in the area.

Upon Butch's unexpected passing in January 2007, his three daughters, Sara, Sharon, and Sandra assumed ownership of Langbrook Meadows. In July 2014, Tom and Tina Langtry (two of many cousins), purchased the course from the girls, and since then, have worked to improve the overall golfing experience for all levels of play and the community.

On January 1, 2001, Tom sold his interest to Bill Brister, a longtime family friend.  Bill and Tina, being absentee owners who lived in Texas, relied on Ian Storie to run the golf course, and Diane Kraft to run the full-service bar and restaurant.

Tina heartbreakingly lost a battle with cancer in October 2023, and Ian and Diane inherited her interest in Langbrook Meadows.  Bill, Diane, and Ian each now own a 1/3 interest in the entire business.  They are committed to continuing Tina’s legacy of providing quality and affordable services to the local communities where she was born and raised, and to the many tourists and seasonal visitors who come to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this area.

This rustic 18-hole Par 71 golf course is quiet and picturesque. It offers challenging play and the cooling winds from the St. Lawrence River just 1 1/5 miles away. We invite you to make the trip for your next golf outing. We think you will be pleasantly surprised.
